22nd Anniversary

Today is our anniversary. 22 years. We celebrated yesterday by taking a little day trip to Myrtle Beach. It was a very nice, relaxing day just being together. We decided to take our cameras with us and see if any photo ops presented themselves.
Since we were going by the USS North Carolina we detoured into the parking lot to just look around and found some great shots of the downtown Wilmington riverfront. The first thing that drew my attention was this building with a great mural painted on it and the boat sitting out in front.

This is another shot of the buildings on the waterfront with the Henrietta.

This next photo is one I took on Holden Beach because I just love kites! They make me feel like a child again and I am going to get one and fly it as soon as possible!

Of course before we could leave the beach we went to eat crab legs and boy were they YUMMY!
we both love them!
The prettiest scene we saw all day was this sunset as we were getting close to home. I am afraid this picture doesn't do it justice. It was fabulous! just breathtaking!

It was a nice day just being together. Here's to 22 more years!!

These are the Mother's Day cards for the babies in the NICU. I will make about 40 of these to make sure that each of our moms gets one. We take a picture of their baby and put inside the card and write a little note from the baby to their mom.
Hope it makes their day a little brighter!

My entry for Dawn Mcvey's Color Challenge #4. The colors to use are brown, soft aqua, and white. This is such a wonderful combination, I knew I had to try it.
I recently got this embossing folder from Stampin Up and it is gorgeous. I have been using it to make Mother's day cards for the babies in the Nicu and decided to use it in white on the soft aqua card stock.
Paper trey ink has great pp that comes in different colors and I thought this shade of brown would be nice to use with the aqua. I also have the newly released stamp set designed by Dawn Mcvey called scattered showers, that has wonderful umbrella stamps and sentiments. The sentiment used is from that set and is stamped in aqua dye ink by Adirondak. The shapes were made using the Spellbinders Labels Four set.
PTI also has a fabulous set of stamps called Butterfly Kisses. I stamped the butterfly on aqua velum with creamy caramel pigment ink from SU and embossed using clear detail embossing powder. The center of the flowers across the bottom of the page is also a stamp from that set.
Thanks for looking
