My favorite new Hero 2010 stamp is the dandelion frame. I love, love, love it! Had so much fun making this card for Gina's birthday that is on Jan. 2nd. Worked all day in my room yesterday getting it straight and clean after the mess of the holidays. Got my creative juices flowing again.
I colored the cling stamp with markers from SU and added touches of color with copic markers.
Cut out the center shape using spellbinder nestabilities. Stamped the sentiment on white and used a smaller nestability to cut that out. Used copic markers to color around the edges.
The bird and the butterflies are also new Hero stamps. They were also colored with copic markers.
Hope you are looking forward to a Happy New Year!

Made a little trip to Archivers yesterday to pick up some card stock. You know just a quick trip in, hubby waiting in the car, not really any time to look. BUT! they were doing a free make and take. Using a big shot die that I hadn't seen before. Sooooooooooo, of course I took the time to make one. It was a little time consuming since in the store we were using glue to adhere the pieces of patterned paper to the chip board, but this morning when I made another I ran it through my xyron and it saved a lot of time.
Did I purchase the die? Oh yes! Also more pp, some of the white chip board, and wanted to get some of the magnets that they used for the closure but they were out. So the search will be on for those.
Thought these might make those gift cards and cash a little more personal. For the guys you could leave off the handle, use more masculine card stock or even suede or leather paper to make it more like a wallet.

Don't you just love Christmas trees? Especially now that they have prelit trees. I like to leave my tree up for a long time so I changed over to artificial probably 15 years ago. It used to take me all day to get the lights on but now I can get my tree up in half the time thanks to them being pre-lit. In the past I have put up as many as 5 trees and I have a small house so it looked like a forest, but I am so over that! One tree is enough for me. I love glass ornaments, snowmen and santas. Lots of snowballs, frosted poinsettias and touches of green. New this year are the glass pinecone ornaments that I found at Target. I really don't ever need to buy another ornament but still usually add a little something different every year. Below are some closer views where you can see the ornaments a little better.
If you have pictures, of your tree, online I would love to see them and if you would like to share you could post a link in the comment section.
