Nowhere to Hide!

I have discovered something about "clean and simple", It's not that easy.

If I am not trying to make a one layer card and the image is stamped a little crooked.........I fix it by cutting the image out and layering it on another piece of card stock. I stamped this image about 5 times before I was happy with it. The stamp was sprayed with Oriental Poppy, Yellow Daisy, and Marshmallow Glimmer Mist and then stamped on watercolor paper.
The sentiment is from a clear set and I cut it apart so I could stamp around the corner of the poppy image. The tiny little flowers are from Rubber Stamp Tapestry. They were stamped with Tea dye distress ink.

I hate to admit how many times I have to hide little mistakes when I am making a card, but trying to keep this really clean and simple sure brought it to my attention. I am drawn to clean and simple but I may not be making them much, not sure my nerves can take it LOL!

Today is a good day, I don't have to go anywhere........might actually cook my hubby some real food. He says if we ever build another house we can skip the kitchen, all we need is a microwave. I'm thinking that's a hint :)

Enjoy your weekend and thanks for sharing a little of it with me!

  5. Fun post today, Debbie! I have a tough time with CAS too! And as far as the cooking thing goes, I actually hate to cook! I have a wonderful hubby who loves it, so he cooks, I clean! It's worked beautifully for over 20 years now! Love this pretty card!

  6. Clean and simple does not = quick and easy. I tried it a couple of times and decided I like layers and embellishments. They do hide a lot of things. I think you did a great job on this one, I love the colors. All you used was the Glimmer Mist, no ink? It's beautiful!

  9. You do wonders with glimmer mist! Amazing effects each time! I normally only go for CAS when I'm a little lazy to take out a lot of my supplies, so I only reach for a few items!

  11. I love the card.. CAS cards aren't as easy to make as you think they are... but they are worth it. I am working at making my cards more CAS like, simply because I'm becoming more of a perfectionist.
